Guardian

He's guarding the monks. Mostly from themselves and the silly whims of their religion, but yeah, he guards them.

This is one of those paintings where I spent way too much time repainting and tweaking the colours, values and design. I also repainted the whole damn thing once because I made the mistake of colouring it with a somewhat soft-ish brush. Well, this was an experience at least!
